Mercier Therapy
Mercier Therapy for Fertility & Pelvic Health
At Circle of Life, we believe women deserve care that honors the wisdom of the body and supports healing at its root. Many women experience fertility challenges, pelvic pain, hormonal imbalances, or conditions such as endometriosis and PCOS without clear answers or gentle solutions. That’s why we offer Mercier Therapy—a non-invasive, hands-on approach designed to support fertility, pelvic organ health, and overall women’s wellness.
What Is Mercier Therapy?
Mercier Therapy is a gentle form of external visceral manipulation that focuses on restoring mobility, circulation, and balance within the pelvic organs and surrounding connective tissues. By releasing restrictions and tension in the pelvis, this therapy helps create an environment where the body can function more efficiently—supporting both reproductive health and pelvic comfort.
Unlike internal pelvic floor treatments, Mercier Therapy is performed externally over the abdomen and pelvis, making it a supportive option for women seeking a respectful, non-invasive approach.
Who Can Benefit from Mercier Therapy?
Mercier Therapy may be helpful for women who are experiencing:
- Fertility challenges or preparing for conception (natural or assisted)
- Pelvic pain or pelvic organ discomfort
- Endometriosis or PCOS
- Irregular or painful menstrual cycles
- Scar tissue from C-sections or pelvic surgery
- Postpartum pelvic tension or trauma
- A desire for holistic support for reproductive and pelvic health
While no therapy can guarantee pregnancy, Mercier Therapy is often used as part of a comprehensive, integrative fertility and pelvic care plan.
How Mercier Therapy Supports Fertility & Pelvic Health
By improving pelvic organ mobility and blood flow, Mercier Therapy may help:
- Support communication between hormones and reproductive organs
- Reduce tension and adhesions that interfere with pelvic function
- Encourage nervous system regulation and whole-body balance
Many women report feeling more connected, comfortable, and supported in their bodies after care—especially those navigating fertility concerns, endometriosis symptoms, or PCOS-related challenges.
Our Holistic Approach
At Circle of Life, Mercier Therapy is delivered with careful intention, respect, and a commitment to supporting your body’s natural ability to heal. This therapy follows an evidence-based protocol developed by Dr. Jennifer Mercier that is designed to restore pelvic organ mobility, improve blood flow to the reproductive system, and reduce soft-tissue restrictions that can interfere with optimal function.
The Mercier Therapy protocol includes:
- A series of six weekly sessions, each approximately 60 minutes, focused on gentle, external pelvic organ massage and visceral bodywork.
- Sessions performed over a six-week period, allowing the body time to respond, release tension, and build toward lasting improvements.
- Care that is non-invasive and external, with no internal work required, making it a supportive option for women seeking a holistic approach to fertility, pelvic pain relief, endometriosis, or PCOS support.
During your initial session, we’ll take time to listen to your health history, goals, and concerns, and perform a gentle evaluation of pelvic organ mobility and tissue restrictions. Each subsequent session builds on the last, helping to release fascial tension, improve circulation, and support balanced nervous system regulation.
Mercier Therapy can be used as a stand-alone approach to fertility support or as part of an integrative wellness plan alongside other therapeutic services. Many women also choose to complete the six-session protocol before medically assisted cycles like IUI or IVF to optimally prepare the body and enhance reproductive function.
